Who is the realtor who claimed the title ‘The Great American Property Rush’
The realtor with the title “The Great U.S. Property Rush” has been caught on camera claiming that “more than 40% of all U.K. properties are in the hands of absentee owners who don’t pay their rent.”
The video was posted to YouTube on May 12 and quickly racked up nearly 100,000 views.
“More than 40 percent of all UK property is in the care of absentee landlords who don´t pay their tenants rent,” he says in the clip, which he has since removed from his YouTube channel.
The real estate mogul has been a vocal critic of the U.k. government’s rent regulation policies and the rise in property prices.
In his video, he complains that landlords are “selling apartments in the most expensive areas” without warning tenants.
“These landlords are taking advantage of our housing crisis, and we are the ones paying the price,” he adds.
“You don’t have to be a millionaire to be homeless, but you should be able to afford to rent an apartment in a high-cost area like London.
This is a real estate bubble that is destroying London.”
