Which is better? Nintendo vs. Sony: Is Sony better in the long term?
Nintendo has announced a brand new console that is not currently being used by Sony, and it’s not the PlayStation 3.
The Switch will launch on February 27 in Japan, but it’s only available through pre-orders starting at $299.
However, the company will be releasing the system alongside the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this year.
Nintendo has previously said that the Switch will be powered by the Tegra X1 chip, but the chip is not officially officially supported on the console.
Instead, the console will feature NVIDIA’s Maxwell architecture.
That chip is the same chip that powers the PlayStation 4, and NVIDIA’s Tegra architecture is also used for other gaming platforms, including the PlayStation Vita and the upcoming PlayStation VR headset.
The Switch’s power requirements are quite ambitious, and Nintendo has promised to put in “significant effort” to make sure the Switch is more powerful than previous Switch consoles.
But the company has not yet announced pricing for the system, and the exact model number is still being kept under wraps.
The system will be released on March 3.
IGN is still awaiting confirmation of the launch date, but we’ll update this article when we have more information.
